  • Ideal for lightweight knitted or loosely woven fabrics
  • Compatible with lightweight threads like 60wt and standard 40wt
  • Provides gentle penetration, reducing damage to delicate fabrics

DIME needle are chrome-plated. Chrome-plated needles are long lasting and the most commonly used needle type, delivering good performance on all general types of blank goods.

This point type and blade size have one of the smallest footprints for any embroidery-specific needle type.

This size needle is ideal executing small lettering or fine detail in woven materials. Works well with fine, light thread types such as size 60. Not recommended for knit fabrics.

The slender blade and point of this needle helps reduce puckering on  tightly woven materials including organza, batiste and similar materials made from lightweight yarn.

A needle that my machine likes

I bought a Bernette b-79 a couple of months ago. I have had nothing but trouble working with embroidery. I've tried several brands of needles and continue to have thread issues. I attended a Dime educational seminar from my retailer and thought I would go ahead and purchase a pack of these needles. I am shocked. For the first time, I was able to complete a project with no thread issues. This has remained consistent. Project after project, no issues. I've tried several brands of needles, and so far, Dime is the only one my machine seems to like. I don't know why or what is different. I have since bought more sizes in the sharp needle.
